Family Game Night Fun
We enjoy playing board games as a family whenever we can find the time to do so. Our favorites are a handful of classics that were around when I was a kid. Personally, I prefer trivia or word games since they appeal to my logical brain. My kids are split as to how they pick their favorites, but it is really about making family game night fun. We were recently introduced to a new word game that we could add to our collection. Kerflip! is ?The Fast-Thinking, Flip-Scoring, Free-For-All Word Game.? It is so much fun. My son, middle daughter, and I are all the wordsmiths in the house so my hubby and oldest daughter have to think quickly to beat us. This game is exactly the type of game I enjoy. Anything that stimulates my brain and gets me thinking quick on my feet has got to be good.
Fast Paced Word Game
The basic concept behind Kerflip! is to make words faster than your opponents. It is a fast paced word game that requires your attention and thinking. After you play it the first time you quickly understand how it is to be played and how to score. The race is then on to find your words before your opponent comes up with one so you can snag the higher score. Even the scoring system is unique in how it is done considering point values decrease as tiles are used and flipped over. And do not be fooled thinking that age matters in this game. Meaning, just because I am older that in no way means my 8 year old could not throw words out quicker than I could see them. She really enjoyed this game! Tile Collection Design
One of my favorite features of the game, other than playing it, is the unique tile?collection?design. As you play, used tiles are easily discarded into a designated slot under the game board. At the end of the game, once all tiles have been played, you simply lift up the playing surface, tilt the box so that the tiles slide into the accompanying box, and then easily pour all the tiles back into the bag for safe keeping. Awesome! I know one of our biggest problems with games is losing pieces. This makes clean up and storage simple and quick.
